Song information

“'O Sole Mio” (eng. My Sunshine) was composed in 1898 by Eduardo di Capua to the lyrics by Giovanni Capurro. The lines are written in Neapolitan language, which is still in use despite being much different from standard Italian (did you ever notice the apostrophe preceding O?). Nowadays the song is mostly associated with the Grammy Award-winning recording of Luciano Pavarotti, but in the past “'O Sole Mio” used to be performed by many great singers, including Enrico Caruso, Jan Kiepura, Rosa Ponselle and... Elvis Prestley. Would you mind joining them now?
