"(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" is a single released in 1967 by American soul singer Aretha Franklin. The song was written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin, and released by Atlantic Records. Produced by Jerry Wexler, who in his autobiography recounts that while strolling along the New York streets he pondering the concept of "natural man". Eventually, the idea was put to use and the song "Natural Woman" was brought into being. It was included in the Aretha Franklin’s album "Lady Soul". The song turned out to be Franklin’s great heat, reaching number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming the soul music standard. The song was performed in later years by many artists, such as Mary J. Blige and Celine Dion. In the recording of the original version of the song took part: Melvin Lastie (trumpet), King Curtis and Charlie Chalmers (tenor sax), Willie Bridges (baritone saxophone), Spooner Oldham (piano), Jimmy Johnson (guitar), Tommy Cogbill (bass), and Gene Chrisman (drums). Aretha Franklin throughout his career received a total of 18 Grammy Awards. In the Rolling Stone magazine’s chart of 100 best singers of all time she was listed on first place.
