„Stille Nacht” was composed in 1818 by Franz Gruber, featuring the lyrics by Joseph Mohr. Until now the lyrics have been translated to over 300 languages, including... arabic („عيد الليل”) and... hebrew („לילה שקט”). „Silent night” gained tremendous popularity after 1945, thanks to the performance by Bing Crosby in the movie „The Bells of St. Mary's”.
